Boxed Wooden Palm Gavel in English Oak with duo of palm gavels

A very distinctive, totally unique, handmade, dovetail jointed, brass hinged boxed wooden palm gavel set. The gavel box is English Oak with unique natural iron stain within the grain. This is where some iron work has grown within the tree and just adds to its quirky natural idiosyncratic character.The box is dovetail jointed with 16 dovetail joints and lined with quality black wool felt and a brass clasp catch. Inside the gorgeous box there is a palm gavel stand for 2 palm gavels to rest. The beauty of the grain in both the box and gavels are difficult to capture in a photo. The box lid is hinged with good quality brass butt hinges. Inside the box is a multi wood palm gavel with a spectacular mix of pink ivory wood, osage orange, leadwood, redheart and black palmwood. Totally unique and very flamboyant all natural colours. The second palm gavel is in gorgeously grained English garden laburnum wood. Only one duo of palms boxed gavel set and when it has gone it has gone for good! Designed and made by me in Shropshire not mass produced; each of my gavels is slightly different and unique, beautifully finished in beeswax so the natural beauty of the wood shines through.
