Jumbo Palm Gavel in Old Lignum Vitae & English Yew

A tough mini jumbo wooden palm gavel in old lignum vitae from a 1950’s old carpet bowls ball, topped with a handle in rich gorgeously grained old English Yew burry wood. This gorgeous gavel will go in the pocket for Auctioneers, Masons and Toastmasters on the move. Old lignum often has checks these are normal and do not detract from its strength, this ball has no visible checks which is unusual for lignum of this age. The yew has a burry bark inclusion in the top, which just adds to its natural idiosyncratic character. The price of old lignum has sky rocketed. A fine piece of design and craftsmanship, another new design of mine. Sturdy, strong looks good feels good sounds good. Packs a punch, creates a wow. Great ergonomic fit in the hand and easy on the eye, gorgeous! This one has a lovely mix of colours in the lignum vitae caramel with swirls of darker brown. One only and when it has gone it has gone for good.
